is located in the city center of Bagnoregio, Viterbo province,
Lazio region, just a few miles from the Umbrian and Tuscan regions. The
train station on the Florence/Rome line is just 15 minutes away. Rome
airports 1.5-2 hours away by car or train. Rome is one hour by train;
Florence almost 2 hours or less. Asissi is 1.5 hours away as is Peruggia
and Siena. This region is rich in agricultural production; sheep, wine,
olive oil, etc. Etruscan culture was prevelant here 3000 + years ago,
with much evidence and history to validate this. Orvieto, a 15 minute
drive has one of the most magnificent cathedrals and Etruscan museums
in Italy.

La
Casetta” is in the medieval area of Bagnoregio, at the end of Via
delle Balze, one of the blind alleys starting from the main square of
the town. It’s a small two storied building, 50 square metres altogether,
that’s why it’s called “casetta”, which stands
for “little house”.
Entering the ground floor there is a sitting room with a brick fireplace,
there is a built-in kitchen made of solid chestnut wood. Also two wooden
armchairs and antique stone stairs which lead to the first floor.
The roof and the ceiling have been completely rebuilt by using new material
according to the original architectural frame so that the house features
haven’t changed. The first floor is furnished with a double bed,
a double sofa bed, a built-in wardrobe and antique furniture. On the same
floor there is a bathroom with shower cubicle and every modern comfort.There
are panoramic views from the upstairs and downstairs windows, of this
beautiful, green and protected agricultural valley below.
